The lead-zinc mine is 14 km northwest from Pingnan county in Guangxi and 2km nearest from Guancheng town.

Devonian formations show a 270 m deep ore body in the coarse grained dolomite. The ore body has a tendency to follow the strike and has a branching narrow shape, gently dipping 20°- 40°. The inferred economic resources (332) + (333) are as follows – 2,491,600 t of ore, 40,467 t of lead (Avg. grade 1.62% Pb), and 9,948 t of zinc (Avg. grade 0.40% Zn) for total lead + zinc reserves of 50,415 t (Avg. grade 2.02%). The portion of ore grade and engineering grade which are larger than 3%, the total reserves amount are 1,229,000 t of ore with 35,001 t lead metal content and 7,240 t zinc metal content for a total lead + zinc grade of 3.44%.
The ore body is surrounded by firmer rock, and fragmented locally. The hydrological conditions are moderately complex, but the surface is hilly forest that does not affect protected farmlands. The mining area has water and electricity with access to roads, planned office and industrial spaces. It has taken over temporary heap mines and waste rock dumps from mines producing under basic conditions.

矿体赋存于中泥盆统四排组应堂组中段的中粗晶白云岩中。矿体深埋0—270米，顺层产出，局部矿体沿走向或倾向具膨状，缩小，分枝复合，尖灭再现现象。矿 体倾角平缓，一般20°—40°。推断的内涵经济资源量(332)+(333)：矿石量 249.16万吨；金属量Pb 40467吨；Zn 9948吨；Pb+Zn 50415吨；平均品位Pb 1.62%；Zn 0.40%；Pb+Zn 2.02%。其中：单矿块段品位和单工程品位≥3%的部 分；矿石量122.9万吨，金属量Pb35001吨，Zn7240吨，Pb+Zn3.44%。
矿区无采民，无老隆。矿体及围岩较稳固，仅局部破碎需要支护。水文条件中等 复杂。地表为丘陵果林区，不涉及基本农田保护区。矿区已通水，电，路，已规划好 办公及工业场地，已征用临时堆矿场和废石堆放场，具备矿山生产的基本条件。
