Laos has built its mining sector to around USD 1,000,000 in the last decade. Potash reserves are being explored and developed. Tin production was 800 tons in 2013 and 2014. Other important resources are:

Market Summary
Laos still has a very undeveloped mining sector but the government is slowly encouraging greater levels of foreign activity and investment. A Chinese-Australian joint venture is conducting a feasibility study on a large bauxite project. PanAust Australia is conducting a feasibility study on a copper-gold mine in the 2,600 square kilometer Phu Bia Contract Area, which would be its third mine in Laos. An antimony mine project is currently being developed in Laos.
